How long is the course, and what is the format?Leading for Impact is a 3-session online workshop series designed for live participation. Each session runs 60 minutes and blends instruction, discussion, and interactive exercises. Sessions are on three Thursdays in October: Oct 9, Oct 16, and Oct 23, from 12-1pm ET.

Will sessions be recorded if I miss one?No, this workshop will not be recorded. Because it’s designed to be highly interactive and may involve sensitive discussions, we want to create a safe, candid space where participants can fully engage in real time.

What technology do I need to participate?All you need is a reliable internet connection and a computer with Zoom (video + audio). We recommend joining from a laptop or desktop (rather than a phone) for the best experience. We may ask participants to use their phones during the sessions for some real-time polling, etc.

Is this a live workshop or self-paced?This is a live, interactive workshop. If you’re looking for a self-paced option, let us know—we may consider an on-demand version in the future.

What happens if I can't attend a session?We understand schedules change. While sessions are not recorded, we provide key takeaways and resources so you can catch up.

Can individuals register, or is it only for pairs?This course is designed for CEOs and board chairs to participate together, building alignment in real time. Exceptions may be made for Vice Chairs or another board member on a leadership path. If you’re unsure, email Courtney at courtney@finepointconsultants.com.

Is this course right for me if I'm new to board service/leadership?Yes! This course provides both foundational knowledge and practical tools, making it ideal for new board leaders and executives as well as seasoned board members looking to strengthen their partnership.

Can multiple people from the same organization register?Yes—pairs are encouraged, but additional leaders may also join if appropriate. Email Courtney at courtney@finepointconsultants.com if you'd like to discuss the best fit for your team.

Is there a limit on the number of participants?Yes, to keep discussions meaningful and interactive, class size is capped at 8 pairs.

What is the cost, and what's included?The $345 fee covers all live sessions, workshop materials, and the digital toolkit for each pair. ($345 total per pair)

Expect to walk away with clarity, shared language, and actionable next steps.

How interactive will the sessions be?Very! You won’t just listen to slides—you’ll engage in guided conversations, breakout exercises with your peer groups, and real-world application with your leadership partner.

Will there be homework or assignments between sessions?Yes, but nothing overwhelming. Between sessions, you may be asked to do a quick check-in with your leadership partner or apply what you’ve learned to your own organization.

What materials or resources will I receive?Participants receive a digital toolkit with worksheets, checklists, and templates you can use immediately with your board and leadership team.

Who is teaching the course?Courtney Reeve and Christy Cole are teaming up again to lead this workshop series. Courtney and Christy served together as CEO and Board Chair, respectively, and bring real-world insight and examples from their own partnership. Courtney is a seasoned nonprofit leader and consultant with over 25 years of experience guiding organizations through periods of change, growth, and renewal. As a former Executive Director and now Principal of Fine Point Consultants, she specializes in strategic planning, board development, organizational assessments, and executive advising. With deep expertise in major and planned giving, Christy advises nonprofits on building and assessing fundraising programs, shaping winning campaign strategies, and strengthening board leadership and governance. Alongside her consulting work, she is active in nonprofit leadership - having served on multiple boards, including as Board Chair to several organizations - bringing both real-world insight and high-energy strategy to every organization she works with.

Will I have direct access to the instructors for questions?Yes—there will be time for Q&A in each session, and you’re welcome to reach out by email between sessions for quick questions.

Can I get one-on-one advising after the workshop series?Yes. Courtney offers customized coaching and consulting for organizations that want deeper support beyond the workshop.
